Some call them transvestites, the other Drag Queens. They choose themselves often for the name Show Queen.
With their glittering dresses, tower high heels, and extravagant make-up are they thanks to the popularity of the American reality series RuPaul's Drag Race become mainstream. They take care of TV, events and clubs presence for just that little bit And already long before RuPaul's Drag Race became popular with the mass, Belgium has had its own Show Queen scene for decades with not only soloists but also professional groups.
But as it goes in the world full of Glitter & Glamor, there prevails behind the scenes a lot of jealousy and competition. Everybody finds that his or her group is the most beautiful, the best and the most extravagant. And that causes a lot of hatred and envy, and so is lost opportunities.
Yet four of the most famous Show Queen groups in Belgium their heads are put together and they arrive on October 13, 2018 with an unprecedented spectacle in the Antwerp City Theater.
With support from Showcase Entertainment led by Tommy Gryson will provide more than 16 Show Queens and dancers an evening as you can only experience in Las Vegas or the Lido in Paris.
Who are these Show Queens?
The Antwerp group "Shining Diva's" led by Zsa Zsa Lamor from Belgium's Got Talent 2013.
The Ghent group "Les Folles de Gand" led by Miss Michelle, known from the annually returning Miss Travestie Belgium. The Malines group "Les Filles de Malines" led by Daniela The Malines and Selina Pearl, known from the annual Show Queen Awards.
And also the crowned Missen "Les Femmes Unique" led by Miss Moonlight, crowned Miss Travestie Belgium in 2007.

They expect more than 800 athletes - gay, bisexual, straight, ... - from all over Europe and so many more visitors and spectators. Badminton, squash, tennis, volleyball, swimming and also rugby are on the program.
