Famous Bear - Necessity celebrates 10 th Anniversary in 3rd February 2018 at Club Panama.
Famous Bear-Necessity Party is shining bright in the GAY party scene in Europe and welcomes bears, cubs, otters and admirers to celebrate its 10th anniversary at Panama venue. Part of the celebration are the VIP reduced once only entry fee, a special show and gifts for randomly selected guests.
10 years ago, Bear-Necessity began in Amsterdam organizing parties for masculine men that like to party in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Bear-Necessity men are mature, adult and often hairy.
Until now, Bear-Necessity has organized more than 130 parties in various cities worldwide such as Amsterdam, London, Madrid, Athens, Antwerp, Rome, French Alps, and Tel Aviv. Bear-Necessity is well known in the gay scene in Europe- and beyond.
Only a decade ago, Amsterdam was considered THE Gay Capital of the world. Amsterdam is very liberal; and the city well known for its gay bars and clubs. It was therefore no surprise that in 2001, the Netherlands was the first country in the world gay marriage became legal.
Nowadays, the situation has evolved and in many countries, gay marriage is commonplace. Gay characters are part of TV series and movies and gays can now marry in more than 20 countries throughout the world. Although Amsterdam is not the sole destination for the gay traveller anymore, Amsterdam is still a favourite gay destination because of the friendly atmosphere and the beautiful historic setting of the city. For this reason, Bear-Necessity is very proud to celebrate its 10 th anniversary in the town of its roots: Amsterdam.
Bear-Necessity promoter & host, Sjag Kozak van der Horst, has big plans for the future. When Sjag moved in 1996 from Israel to Amsterdam to the country of his Dutch mother, he had no idea that he would become the host of Amsterdam’s most successful Bear party for a period of 10 years (and more to come). Sjag loves his second home country. His personal mission is to keep the gay scene in Amsterdam vibrant and in particular- for the Bear Community, that is why he is also part of the Amsterdam bear Weekend organization.
