After 8 years, Christmas Avenue will return with a boat during the world-famous Canal Pride in Amsterdam in 2024.
On Saturday, August 3, 2015, a Christmas boat arrived on the Canal Parade in Amsterdam for the first time. Seeing Santa hats on a summer day is something different than all those muscle bundles and dancing cousins. Now exactly 8 years later on Saturday, August 3, 2024, Christmas Avenue returns with a fantastic boat in Amsterdam during Canal Pride.
This year's theme is "Together".
The theme TOGETHER has inspired the participants to come up with various concepts and after assessing these, the 80 boats have been selected that will sail this year. Accessibility for everyone is an important topic this year. For example, a boat sails for the deaf and hard of hearing, people with a mild intellectual disability, young people and the elderly.
