Robert W Richards exhibition at CSD Berlin
WERKSTATTGALERIE invites you on the 18th of June 2015, Thursday, for the opening of the first Berlin exhibition of the New York's famed illustrator Robert W. Richards. Richards (born in 1941) is one of the most prominent and well-known illustrators of the United States.
As a close friend of Manhattan's arts and music scene, he was responsible for the creation of many record covers and posters of the show-business, setting standards. He worked for Frank Sinatra, Lena Horne, Anita O'Day, Tony Curtis and Peggy Lee. He also illustrated for the fashion industry and its customers including brands such as Chanel, Valentino or Yves St. Laurent.
As part of the bourgeois wing of the gay rights movement of the 1970s, he began his decades-long love for the "Adonises" of the scene, the porn stars. Richards held the fleeting beauty of those modern cupids firmly in countless drawings and interviews. Richards is a member of the "board of directors" within the famous Leslie + Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art.
A selection of his work will be shown during Motzstraßen - LGBT street fair in preparation for his major solo exhibition 2016 in Berlin. On Sunday, the 28th of June 2015, he will have his "one-man show" debut in Berlin

SchwuZ entrance and schedule is changed
There are a few exciting changes to the SchwuZ party schedule and entrance to the famous club in Berlin.
Because of the new rules ,long waiting times, confusing procedures, and sometimes unclear communication understandably led to frustration. This new structure means more coordination and effort.
