The Eagle in Amsterdam open
After closure about 1.5 years ago, The Eagle will be back open on 18 April 2012 again under new management.
The Eagle have an important task to take to get the gay scene back in Amsterdam.
Two gaybars were closed by the sudden death of Paul Wierks end of 2010
and the Warmoesstraat in Amsterdam was no longer the center for the gay scene.
With the disappearance of these bars and clubs ,
the gay scene lost ground in Amsterdam.
Now most of the bars reopen again and the last one will be open from 18 April 2012.
The Eagle.
By fire in the upstairs apartments , it need renovation and refurbishment and the bar needed some dramatic changes and improvements.
Also the music of the Eagle was previously known as dark and underground style and that will again be heard again.
Michael Roks, General Manager of The Eagle and the former DJ from London Roberto Varano , will take care for the music in The Eagle.
To get the gay scene back to Amsterdam, Michael Roks has number of events for The Eagle to get to know.
An important event will be the Full Weekend Amsterdam during the Ascension weekend from 17 to 20 may 2012.
The Eagle will do this in partnership with RECON.
The fixed night is Thursday night with CODE NIGHT with a very interesting concept for every Gayman.
Important factor is that The Eagle bar will open all day , so the visitor will get always welcome 7 days a week.
The Eagle is open daily from 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 and Friday and Saturday 10:00 p.m. to 5:00.
